THE STORYThe province of Flevoland and the municipal authorities of Lelystad are together developing the Flevokust (Flevo Coast). Flevokust is a newly built transshipment port with a 'wet' industrial area north of Lelystad. It will lie at the crossroads of the main shipping routes to the west and north. Once Flevokust is completed there will be a handling port where containers will arrive by barge and then be transported to the immediate hinterland by truck or train.
